  3. Welcome to the Presenting Pixar Typestry: Mesmerizer and Product Tour for the Power Macintosh.

  9. The presentation can be launched by double-clicking on the "PresentingPixarPPC" icon.  This presentation contains the following features:
  10.  
  11. • The Mesmerizer, an animated box shot.
  12.  
  13. • A text slide that describes Pixar's plans for Power Macintosh support.
  14.  
  15. • The Typestry Tour that consists of:
  16.  
  17. 1) The Pixar Gallery of Great Images. Click on the large versions of each picture to get information from the artist/ designer on how it was done.
  18.  
  19. 2) The Pixar Typestry Product Tour. A summary of the features of Pixar Typestry, available for for Macintosh.
  20.  
  21. 3) The Pixar Flying Logo QuickTime movie (made using the keyframe animation feature included with Pixar Typestry.)
  22.  
  23. 4) Summary information about other Pixar 3D and multimedia products as well as RenderMan accessories.

  25. • The presentation begins with the Mesmerizer, click on the box shot to launch the Tour. Help is available in the Tour when the rendered "i" appears in the upper right corner of a screen, just click on it.

  29. • Check the Apple® Menu Item "About This Macintosh..." to be sure the largest unused block is at least 2MB.  If it is not you should quit some applications to free additional memory.

  31. To make the presentation run at a reasonable speed, 8-bit images are used exclusively. However, RenderMan products ordinarily output 24-bit images.

  36. This presentation was put together using primarily three applications: Pixar Typestry, Adobe Photoshop and MacroMind Director. Some of the buttons were done with Pixar Showplace/ MacRenderMan and the QuickTime Movie was created from rendered frames by Adobe Premier.
